sweet tortillas with bananas and caramel sauce

serves 4 makes 8 tortillas

ingredients

  • 15g butter
  • 140g soft brown sugar
  • 300ml double cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 bananas, cut in half lengthways
  • Old El Paso® Flour Tortillas (326g)
  • Cream or ice cream

preparation

Melt the butter in a large, non-stick pan over a medium heat, then add the sugar and cream, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil, add the cinnamon, the vanilla extract and the bananas, turning them in the sauce to coat. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 3 minutes to slightly soften the bananas.

Warm the Flour Tortillas by following the instructions on the pack.

to serve

Place two banana halves on each tortilla, roll up and drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve with cream or ice cream.

If you're feeling slightly naughty (and youre old enough to vote), add a splash of tequila or rum to the caramel sauce!
